The Bruce Ecuador
program seeks to help “at-risk”
children receive an education. We provide
classes for children currently marginalized
by the public school system and supply
them with the educational resources
necessary to enter their proper grade
levels. Additionally, volunteer fees
and generous outside donations pay for
these children’s matriculation
fees, books, and school uniforms for
two years after leaving the Bruce Ecuador
centers.
Bruce Ecuador
students are able to enter the public
school system with the educational,
financial, and emotional resources necessary
to achieve academically.
Bruce Ecuador was
established in the spring of 2006 and
has operated successfully, fulfilling
our mission. To date, we have opened
two centers in and around Quito that
currently provide classes and emotional
support to numerous previously excluded
from the public school system.
We are always looking
to enhance the existing centers and
expand our project into other areas
of the city. So, if you are motivated,
creative, team-oriented and excited
about putting your own spin on our program,
Bruce Ecuador is the place for you.

is the smallest of the Andean countries,
its vast cultural, historical, and natural
wealth rivals most continents. The Bruce
Ecuador volunteer base is located in
the vibrant Mariscal district of Quito.
The city itself
is an UNESCO heritage site and boasts
the least altered, best-preserved historical
center in Latin America. Additionally,
volunteers will have the opportunity
to explore the expansive peaks, indigenous
markets, cloud forests and hot springs
that surround the city.
